Widest Rims and Tires

For a staggered setup. What is the widest rim and tire you can fit on the rx-8 in the front and rear.

Im coming from the supra scene, and we usually keep to 295-315s in the rear, and 255-285s in the front.

Could i pull this off in an Rx-8?

thanks,
brian

Supras rule!.
Try searching around. Some guys have 20 X 10 or 20 X 9.5 however you might want to roll your fender for that kind of set up.
You must be going for show right?
The stock off set is 18 X 8=50mm.
I'm going with 18 X 8.5 in the front and 18 X 9.5=35mm in the back or 19 X 8.5 and 19 X 9.5 with Toyo's and Tein

Brian,

You sound like me when i first came into the Rx-8 scean, from the Bmw's to the Vette's i was quite disapointed but then again were' not driving cars with over 400hp...

Most wheel manufactures such as DPE HRE and iForged, all custom 3-pc wheels recomend going with 19x8.5 and 20x10 ou
t back! although thats not all that wide in the front or the rear you'll be able to run a 245/285 setup...

There are some guys on 18X9.5 with 285-30-18 front and rear. You might be able to go a little bigger on the rear, but I don't see a 315 fitting in the rear with out some work.

I'm having a bit trouble myself trying to figure out this jejeje...

I have GFG Wheels 8.5 in front and 10.5 in the rear with an offset of 35, so I'm asking what can be done besides the OEM adjustable cambers that wont go anymore negative.

I've rolled the fenders a bit, but it still didn't help

The tires stick out 1 1/4 and from what I see in the inside I can still push the wheel 3" more inside to avoid it from hitting the rear fender body.

I've got 275 18X9.5 all around.

Local source tells me you can get upto 295s in there. No need, though..

18x10.5" +43 with 265/35/18 all around. no rubbing and no fender mods required.
