Anyone ever tried tires at Costco?
I am thinking of getting a set of WINTER tires from Costco, mainly for its convenience: can shop while waiting and free lifetime rotation/alignment. I think they mainly carry BFGoodrich and Michelin.
Anyone ever had experience with Costco (winter) tires?

is it stock rims do not deserve to be treated nice or the costco guys just hate aftermarket rims? lol

hmm...that makes sense. now back to the question... has anyone ever ACTUALLY used their WINTER tires? any good? how do they compare to popular winter tires on the forum (Blizzak, Dunlop M3 etc. etc.)

have you used winter tires from costco? if so, what tires did you get? the selection on costco website seem quite limited now (no winter tires at all) but then again, it is probably still far from winter now.

I've purchased 10+ sets of tires from Costco and I probably will never buy from them again.
when I first started buying from them it was because their prices were great, they always caried Michelin tires, and I could have it done while I was shopping.
Unfortunately every Costo I go to these days is no longer all that competitive with their tire prices and even if I'm the first person in the door, I get a 2 hour wait for tires.
The final straw for me was having them break two sets of wheel locks on two different cars and me having to replace the wheel because of the damage caused in removing the broken lock. (at Costco's expense of course)
I find that America's Tire company is just MUCH easier to deal with. They'll match or beat any of Costco's prices, I feel the techs are more compotent, and I'm out of there in under 30 minutes. What's there not to love.

Mazda wheel locks are VERY soft.
When you go in there just instruct them to hand tighten the locks. If they use the air gun, bad things can happen.
