For those of you with Factory Wheels And Aftermarket Tires...

When I got my Azenis installed on the RX8 wheels yesterday, they removed the wheel weights (obviously)...

Well they left behind a HIDEOUS black residue, and for those of you who have had it removed you know what I'm talking about...

Did Goo-Gone do the trick to get it off?? I'm gonna get it removed later today and just wondering if anyone had a great way to get that NASTY stuff off...

Thanks...

i haven't switched over my tires yet and had to deal with the weights, but i'm sure goo gone will get ride of that in a heart beat. Its just adhesive and goo gone gets rid of crap like that.

I had the exact same problem when I put on the Azenis and it looked really fugly and got worse as it collected dirt.

Goo Gone is crap ... get Motsenbocker's 'Lift Off' Tape Remover (blue bottle) it'll take it right off along with using a plastic scraper (like a plastic putty knive) to keep from maring the wheel's surface finish.
