I just canceled my order for tein springs 1.5 drop in the front and .7 in the rear because i am scared it will ruin my ride. Does anyone have a these on their 8? if so how does it ride??? will it ride really ruff or is it worth buying anyways

Tons of people in this club have Teins and they are very happy. Check out the Tein H also. It's offers a more subtle drop and an even better ride.

As in ride quality isn't diminished or as in you don't have any better handling?

You feel the road a little more with a little more bounce but it is definitely tolerable. The handling feels much better now IMO.

I've had the Tein H-Tech for some time now, which are supposed to maintain the stock ride quality (which they do!) and drop it the perfect amount, which they also do. Lots of details here. Recommended! :D

springs dont do much in relativity to coilovers... fist go ride in a car that has coilovers.. with adj dampening .. and then ride one with stock shox and springs.. its a day and night difference... ive owned 3 setups... just springs.. springs and aftermarket shocks.. and full out coilovers.. and the coilovers by far are the stiffest and annoying...over time the car will start to creak and rattle when you hit bumps... but of course ..the performance of coilovers are on a whole new level.. :D

stock springs.are designed for minimal performance and more comfort.. any aftermarket perfomance spring is goin to be more hash than stock... but nothing that will get you to reconsider..

I was thinking about getting some aftermarket springs too, good info in this thread. I was considering Racing Beat, or Tein Stech Springs. Anybody have any opinions on one over the other?? On the RB site, the springs are $60 ea, but on vivid racing the tein springs are listed at $180....is this a price for all 4 or are they $180 a pop??

Teins STechs can be found for 140 shipped on ebay. Thats where I got mine. The RB springs don't drop it much at all and would probably be compared better to Tein H techs.

I'm surprised mazda did it. When I went to talk to my local mazda dealership they told me that they can't install it since it was an after market springs.

As far as ride quality you won't notice it and ride like a stock until you put on 19 inch rims. Then you will feel a big difference.

slllygrl10, where did you get your springs installed?? i found someone to do it for $160, BUT they're closed on weekends. i really dont want to take a day off just to have my springs installed..also, once you put on the 19s, did your car feel bouncy?? i'm getting 19s soon, but dont want to compromise the smooth ride right now..

I paid $120 to have them installed at my local speed shop. $500 is waaayy too much. No wonder they were excited to make $250 an hour.

7 Hours!!!!!gheezus!

...and why in the HELL did they do an alignment right after spring install...they will settle and throw your camber off again...not very smart on their part...well actually yea it was for being able to pull it over your head...cause you'll be back again after the springs settle...it took around 1000mi for mine to finally settle...
