oh and forgot to mention that it just seems like everyone is talking about the s and h types and nothing about the flex.

Just installed my Tein H springs.I was concerned that the front drop at 1.7 would be to much and effect handling negativly so far it seems to handle well I haven't had a chance to wring her out yet. I did notice the steering feels quicker. The ride is exellent just slightly firmer with less body roll in turns. Out driving couple of days prior to the Teins I cranked her into a left corner pretty hard and slid the front a foot perhaps two I'm hoping that the Teins will help with some of this type of sliding. Perhaps heavier sway bars would help also. Pics coming soon and more impressions on these springs as well.

Hey Omi how much actual drop did you get in back? The Tein website lists the back at 0.3 looks to be more to my eye. Mine havent fully setled yet but angle of the drop looks dead on to your 8. I love the look whith out that pesky front wheel gap but want the handling to be **** as well. I'm going to do some canyon carving soon so the verdict on handling is out till then.

Welp, problem is (dummy me) I never wrote down what the wheel gap was stock before I put the H-Techs in, so I can't tell you the delta. Gap in the rear is now about 1.5 inches, and I think before it was 2-2.5 inches, so I've had somewhere between 0.5 and 1.0 inch drop in the rear. If someone can measure what the stock gap is, we can tell what the real number is.

Handling wise, your review is spot on. VERY slightly firmer ride but no real degredation from stock, slightly flatter handling, slightly better steering response. And I too am thinking about larger sway bars next. :D

Hi Omi.

Got my H tech springs late last week and had them installed yesterday. I measured the stock clearance prior to the spring install, and I got approximately 3 inches in front, and approximately 2 inches in rear, between top of tire and bottom of wheel well. Have only driven about 100 miles, but the current measurement is approx two inch difference in the front, and two inch difference in the back. I hope they settle a little more than this. You got approx 1 inch in front and 1.5 in rear. I would be satisfied with that.

The ride quality is quite good, actually comparable to stock. I must say, even though they have not dropped as far as I want yet, the car does look better with the front lowered, compared to the rear, IMO.

I will update and post pictures in a few hundred miles.

I have a quick question, since the spring rates of the H-Tech are close to stock, do we eventually need to change the whole suspension system (shocks and stuff).

Also, i found the H-tech springs to be $147 shipped from importhookup.com. theres a section in the front page saying teins on sale, they are giving 30% off list with free shipping. which is 147 i believe. Cheaper than ebay by about 20 dollars.

Heres a more directlink

Thanks for the measurement. And yes, they should settle another 1/2 inch or so.

I am currently considering these springs and was wondering if those of you with H Tech's could give us an update.

Thanks

Yes, me too. I want a slight more drop in the front than my RB springs produce.

Don't know what more I can tell you guys than what I already have. Drop is perfect (measurements above) and ride is still like stock, although perhaps a tiny bit firmer. I love these springs.

Hey Omi, none of the pics in this thread work, i did click on the image in your sig, and it looks great. I was wondering how they are holding up a year and half later? Has your dealer given you any flack?

I think these will be what i order, i want to go lower, but the last thing i want is a rough ride. Plus, I also would have to pass the wife test.

Omi, the drop in front looks good. Can't see much of a change at the rears though.

I tested my wheel /fender clearance (still on stocks) and mine are 4 fingers in front and less than 3 in the rear. Strange that my rear clearance is smaller than yours?
