FINALLY.... got summer tires

so far, awesome... much quieter than the Dunlops, feels like a stiffer sidewall. Can't wait to test them out this weekend at my first autoX of the year.

So nice to be off the winter tires as well... I missed my 75mph clover leaf turns.

After digesting much of the info around these parts, I dove in and got the Dunlops. Had been thinking about Hankooks, S.Drives, Kumhos, and others. At the end of the day, I defaulted to the C&D summer tire test results. Not to mention TireRack and Dunlop had a rebate offer for purchase by end of July.

Installed them yesterday, on the new Enkei PF01s I ordered at the same time.

I went 18x8.5 with 245/40/18, along with adding D-specs and H-techs.

Haven't had much time to give them much of a driving test, but they are certainly sticky, smooth, responsive, and a lot quieter than the Bridgestone Pole Position A/S I had used for my last set.

Im pretty happy with my Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500's...lol. Wet traction could be a bit better... but for $130 a tire i really cant complain.
