stock bridgestones

A nice step up!!!
If they are free why would you be spending $500 on them?
Here's a good question, would you take a set of the stock Potenzas if they cost 1/2 the price of one of the better alternatives out there (never mind the 2X that they actually are)? After just changing over to the Avons I would never drive those noisy suckers again.

^^ They are free, and I havent had any problems with them, but everyone says there is a huge difference with other tires and I dont know if I want to spend more money on new tires if I can just use the 8 free ones.

If you never see cold temps, you are careful when it's wet and you don't mind the noise then the tires aren't bad (except for the price). I live in the north and couldn't stand the wawaawawawwawwaa any more. There are people on this board that buy/sell the stock Potenzas.

So you could get the tires from the dealer and sell them on the board to offset the cost of some more "well rounded" tires. Every wins!

An allignment is always a good idea when installing new tires. It'll help to ensure there is no premature wear; can't have that with new tires, ya know?
Also, 245/40's will run your speedo 1% fast. No biggie for a little extra ride comfort.

UPDATE: I got all 4 tires replaced for free under warranty with Bridgestone. They road well on the way home. This morning vibrate like hell, then smooth out. The only thing I can think of is that the tires must get flat spotted pretty bad and the cold temps don't help. not really cold here last night but prob got down to 50 ish.
I don't know. let's see how they do this time around.

Someone mentioned 240´s on the stock rims... Does anyone know how wode tires the stock rims can take? And does anyone have any pics of lets say 245/45 - 255/45 on the stock rims? Would be highly appreciated since I´m looking at getting new tires but not new rims.

I have 245/40s on the stock rims and they're great. No pics atm, but I can tell you they fit fine. Going to the 40 series keeps the total circumference very close to stock as well. You wouldn't want 245/45s, would up the gearing too much.

i'm not possitive, but i think 255/40 might be too wide for the stock wheels. maybe someone that knows better can answer...or you can pm connor@tirerack (that's his member name here on the forum).
i don't know if they ship over seas, but he could probably answer the question for you. when i ordered my wheels/tires, that's who i contacted, and he was nice and was helpful in answering my questions.
