I Got My Rx-8 Three Week Ago, Do We Need Snow Tire Here In Tacoma Washington. It Snow Maybe 1 To 5 Inches A Years. But We Do Get Black Ice, Because Of The Rain Here. I Wood Like To Know From Some One From Here.

 

You at least need good all seasons. The stock tires are very slippery when cold. It doesn't even need to be wet or snowy..........

They are useless on ice.......

 

Look at getting some Falken ZE-512 or Kumho Ecsta ASX tires, they are good all season tires for the WA weather.

 

am thinking of getting bridgestone potenza re960as pole position($210) or avon tech m550 a/s(136). the bridgestone i can get at the local discout tire store for the same price online(they mache the price), the avon are online only, wich i don,t like, any coment.

 

If you're getting purpose snow tires get some nokians. They are at the top of almost every comparision (which usually is good) and are basically bred by scandonavians driving through twisty mountains on ice. And to be honest... I'm not a big fan of the potenza series. You can do better for $210.
