Has anyone found a definitive answer as to whether the ABS system would be adversely affected by fitting smaller outer diameter tires (I am thinking as small as 205/40R17 which would be 23.4 vs. 25.9in stock)? If so please point me in the right direction, I've even tried looking around Bosche's website but couldn't find any information.

the abs and dsc and tc only knows the difference between tire speed. as long as all the tires are the same dia. you will be fine!

and if not you are the first to deal with this issue!

Thanks swoope that is what I wanted to hear! Do you have a link to any "official" source or test that confirms this? Just want to be sure before I commit to an unorthodox tire selection; thanks!

i know lots of people that run 245 35 17 tires on the track.

it works fine.. i really dont know what the outside dia is on that.

but the abs and dsc and tc looks for differential speed, and yaw..

the point is dont staggar!!!

I had 245/45/zr18's on the rear and 225/45/zr18's on the front, that's a larger diameter tire on the back and stock diameter on the front and I had no issues...

just remember then when u go smaller your speedo is higher than youre actually going. you can speed by 15 over and only be going 3-4 over.
