Has anyone else been able to confirm the MS spring rates?
Has anyone else been able to confirm the MS spring rates?
So...
There is only one piece of evidence that the MS springs are stiffer in the front while softer in the rear...but even DPE's website still states they are really quite stiff.
Has anyone else been able to confirm these results? Reading various posts through searching, it has been stated that one MUST get the MS shocks with the MS springs or else it'll ride really really really bad...so I'm not sure if this is all hearsay now, or has any sort of truth, as if they do have the spring rates that were tested...the above statement would be false.
Let me reword it better:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/spring-rates-other-basic-suspension-info-79096/ <-- that thread shows the MS springs as 280/190 however...
https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=100 <--- that post shows the MS springs as being 180/100...using a tester, which has proven to be accurate.
But people have been saying before that one MUST get the MS shocks with the MS springs or it'll ride really bad due to the spring rates...but other springs aren't so bad so you can use stock shocks...
So I'm trying to really discover what the MS spring rates really fall closer to.

DPE advertises it as: 280/190
One test on one set of springs shows it's MUCH lower than this.
Has anyone else been able to confirm what they actually are.
