Gotta get my tires rotated...

I do it every 5k, so it's that time again. Problem is, my dealer is always closed by the time I get home from work :\

Do you just get them rotated, or balanced and rotated?

Do you have your oil changed at the dealer? Here we have to leave the car for the day and they'll shuttle me to work. When I get off the car is done *and* washed I was in the habit of getting the tires rotated at every other oil change, so about every 6000 miles.

why not rotate the tires yourself? its very easy. I hate to pay 20bucks for 5 minutes of work.

with this car in particular, make sure you preoperly torque your wheels if you do the job yourself. impropperly torqued wheels WILL eventually lead to warped brake rotors.

it's not 100% necessary but it is reccomended. balancing the tires helps to reduce hopping or skipping (not wheel hop in the case of hard accelleration and loss of traction) that can create uneven wear patterns in tires and reduce vibration felt throughout the car.
