Help Me Suspension Problem!!!!

OK i bought a set of espelir springs. Took the car down to a local customs shop to have them installed. After about 5 HOURS!!! they came out and told me something isnt right. The shocks wont work with these springs. I told them that they must have done something wrong cause I know people who have these springs with stcok shocks and haven't had a problem. Bascially what the problem is, when I hit a bump its like BANG in my trunk. They assured me that the springs were set on the shock correctly and everything was done properly its just that these springs wont work with stock shocks it creates too much of an angle and the shock sits too crooked. Are these guys just idiots or do I have to find a place that sells aftermarket shocks?? Any suggestions?? or even a site that sells aftermarket shocks?? If this is going to be this much trouble I'll send the springs back and get the damn coilovers like I should have!!

Well they probably installed it wrong.... because those springs are designed for the 8 and members on this board has the springs on no problem.........

and 5 hours? they either didnt know what they were doing or they are giving you BS.... i would check with them again...

Where'd you get the springs? Are you sure they gave you the right springs?

and if you have the $$... get the coilovers!

PS : if you are looking to sell your Espelir springs i'd be interested in taking them off your hands. PM me if you have thoughts of selling.

thanks

Potent,

I talked with the guys from your shop. I find it odd that it's only banging in the right rear side. Sounds to me like they didn't seat the strut assembly properly when they reinstalled it. I have no probs w/my springs at all. I love em. I'd bet they got it bolted back in but didn't seat it right. just a thought.

Do you have to trim bump stops when installing the Espelir's? They may have forgot to trim a bump stop.
