Deep Dish black rims?
Hey guys! Im new here, and Im just gonna be on here every now and then cuz im on here for my friend, an RX8 owner. he is not a computer guy, so I will just do the research for him
He has an 06, black RX8. He wants some deep dish rims that are black with a chrome lip. I dont know how many spokes he wants to do, but he wants deep dish and black with chrome lip. What are his options? im thinking either a 18" or 19" rim would be good for him. So can anyone post pictures and or links to some rims that would be good for him?
Also can you let me know what your guys lug pattern, offset and backspacing needs to be.
Thanks a lot guy!

Ok ill try searching for that.
Can you guys tell me what your lug pattern, backspacing, and offset need to be? And If we go with a 9.5" rim on the back can he use like a 265 tire? Cuz that would be nice

Nice job on the truck, looks like someone put quite a bit of wrench time into it.
Here is a picture of Kwescott's car::
Here is NgoRX8's car:
Here is FE3P's car
All 3 of them are sporting some Volk rims, just don't remember who has which models. Hope this helps...

kwescott:
Volk Racing GT-7 19 inch: i dont know width or offset
NgoRx8:
Volk Racing SF-Challenges 19 inch: 8.5 width front 9.5 width rear, i don't know offsets
FE3P:
Volk Racing GT-S 19 inch: 8.5 font +34, 9.5 rear +37
Alot of guys here are running the 8.5s and 9.5s with an offset somewhere between 35 to 45. they also run a 245/35/19 front with a 275/30/19 rear. I'm not a big fan of this setup because the front tire is technically taller than the rear but its by like 2mm so its not really noticeable, you could run a 235/35 front tire instead of the 245 and it will work fine on the 8.5 rim
I don't know how deep dish your friend is looking for but since the rx8 has such a high offset OEM wheel its kinda hard to get a nice sized lip. FE3P's wheels have a 94mm rear lip=3.7 inches and a 75mm front lip=3.0 inches
Also, how much is your friend looking to spend? I mean, most Volk Wheel sets are going to run you at LEAST $2000 but most likely $2500
18, 19, and 20 inch will work fine as referring to the overall diameter and widths from 7.5 to 10 will work. The rear tire on our cars should be a 275 at most but some guys have run a 285. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3
Also, if your friend wants Volks, you can go to www.rayswheels.co.jp and look at all their lines. The lower left corner has a link that says ENGLISH which makes the page into english rather than japanese. Every wheel on that site also shows all available bolt patterns, diameters, widths and offsets. Also, all RAYS wheels are available in custom colors so you can order them black if its not shown on their website. Mackin Industries is the US Distributor for RAYS wheels so you can go through them or you can also private message lazi from J-OnDemand parts. He can beat almost anyone's prices on Japanese parts.

Ngo has autobahn. There's a group buy out there right now for replicas of his kit. He's one of the few on this board with an Original. (veyr expensive, hard to get from Japan)
