camber kit or what?

OK...I do not know much about alignments other than you should get one done anytime you change suspension components. I put the H&R springs on my car and I am tucking my front wheels. I was hoping that getting an alignment could fix them so i do not have uneven tire wear problems. I took my car to Sears and the tech told me that the drop was too low and the numbers he put into the computer would not "take". He told me that all he could do is adjust it so as to minimize my tire wear. Is there any way i can get this condition fixed so i dont kill my tires? Are there any camber kits for the 8 or can it just be fixed by doing an alignment? Enlighten me!!

Thanks

I would like to know the answer to this as well. The shop I went to told me the same thing. My Tanabe's dropped it enough to cause a 2 degree change in camber.

Take your car to a good alignment shop. You may not be able to get stock camber...but you really don't want it anyway :D

I am running -1.5 deg camber frnt and rear with 7 deg castor.....and zero toe. Handles great!

Camber kit won't work on this car ...not a strut type suspension!

What dannobre said. Incorrect toe settings will kill tires far more quickly than anything, so just make sure you're within spec on toe and then get camber between -1.0 and -2.0. The car seems to have a good amount of camber adjustment, so I'd be surprised if you couldn't get there even with very aggressive/low springs. And for toe, you'll certainly be able to get it back to spec regardless of suspension mods. To a point, you want more negative camber. In our opinion -2.0 is about as much as you'd want on the street in most cars, but it varies from car to car.

Dave, how are the springs and bars treating you, other than the alignment thing?

The car handles amazingly. It feels planted through long sweeping turns and the rear doesn't break loose as easily anymore. The bars were a great deal! Thanks! I still have the poly-u bushings if you need them

My tanabe springs dropped my car 1.25 /1.5.....my front end needed little adjustment ,my rear end was adjusted in order to restablish vertical rim alignment.thats all...mine was done by a firestone shop and this guy was know nubie at alignment ,but he said it was a simple adjustment and my tires are wearing just fine after 7000 miles...
