Calling All Enkei Owners
I just laugh to myself whenever I see someone stagger wheels on an already well setup car. When I had my 3-series BMWs, the goal was always to run a square (unstaggered) setup to reduce understeer and get the car more balanced. But in the RX8 world, I guess it works the other way.
I couldn't find RPF1's in 18X9, only 18X8 and 18X9.5. I think I like the PF01's better, and less than a pound per wheel isn't that big of a difference is it? Going from a 24 lb wheel to a 19 lb wheel should still greatly improve driving I would think. Any input since you have both kstr?
One other thing to keep in mind, the PF01s hub centric ring is a two piece (one of which is a thin metal ring). I've already lost one PF01 due to my mechanic being careless and this ring ended up sandwiched between the wheel and hub. I ended up buying an aftermarket one-piece ring (like the RPF1 uses) so this hopefully doesn't happen again.
Chino's car looks ****** hot with the RPF1's. Maybe he's just getting a really good angle? Cuz again some pics like his I'm sold on the rims. Then I see other shots at different angles and it makes me second guess them on the spot.
lol thats how i was but once they were in my car with the right ride height i fell in love wit them
