quick question...

i have 19x8.5 +45 fronts and 19x9.5 +55 rears

i am about to get some 20mm spacers for all 4 wheels, my question is if i do this, will all the wheels be evenly pushed out or will the fronts be sticking out a bit more than the rears?
the fronts are 1 inch thinner in width but the ending offset would be +25 for fronts and +35 for rears...

gregs and i test fitted 20mm spacers in the rear and they looked nice! i think if i went any bigger (25mm) the wheels would stick out beyond the fender and it would look odd...

this is what my wheels look like atm...too sunken in! (my rx8 is on the LEFT, its the one with the wing). oh and i CANNOT go any lower because i have the tein coilovers and the rear is dropped as much as possible already, and in this pic i had falken tires in the back which has a smaller sidewall than the tires i have on now...currently i have 275/30 rear and 245/35 front

Hey bro I still think 20mm in the rear and 15mm up front would be your best bet

i don't know, but if you're running +45/+55 f/r now, i would think +25/+35 would be the same, no? how is the "evenness" now front vs rear?

Correct, 20mm is 20mm... it only changes as you approach the speed of light

so 1 inch is about 25mm...so the difference now is just 5mm or so due to the 1 inch difference in wheel width. i don't know from that pic they look pretty even so i think you'd be fine with 20mm spacers, but i bet rd is right on with 15/20 to make up for that 5mm difference.

with those offsets i think you will need a 25mm and some 45 and 55 are some high offsets.

umm, yeah, or 15mm i'm not so sure. i had to get help from atilla and ross dawg constantly to understand this crap. i should probably stop trying to help!!

wait, i had to write it out to see if it made sense in my head, and i'm thinking your front is slightly more tucked more than your rear right now, to the tune of 2.5mm. like i said, probably doing more harm than good here!!

^ ok i think i got it. i'll need to edit my other post again!! i was about right though, just that you REARS should be sticking out about .1inches more right now, or 2.5-3mm. so your fronts are more tucked at the current set up.

go here: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

i put in 8.5 +45 as your "current" set up and 9.5 +55 as your "new" setup to see the difference...

Either +20 front and rear or +15 front +20 rear. Both will look really good. Try putting a 20mm on both the front and rear at the same time to see what it looks like.

FUNNY you mention that!

I had a date scheduled to have them powdercoated, I even alluded to it a few places here. As the date came closer I got my part pooped on when someone posted up this car on s2ki:

Same color car, same color wheels, same style car, same style wheels. It totally killed it for me and I dropped the wheels. For now I'm just getting the right tires on those volks to show you guys they actually can look good

Same concept, different cars naturally have different acceptable offsets so going by numbers yet changing platforms doesn't really mean much.

Also, I almost got some 18x10.5 +15 orange CE's, someone else had just beat me to them -_-

I believe if the car is low enough, and the fitment is good enough, nearly any wheel will look good/be pulled off. Only exceptions would be these:

and these:

Dude! If you love your s2k's then you'd know that front bumper is the Spoon bumper! Total baller! J's wing too! I suppose you may think it looks like **** but you've got to at least give credit where credit is due. Clearly its a performance based build thus the fitting is, well, fitting. And yes, Mugen HT looks good!

Yes, I am curious of what they'll look like. These tires rose my car nearly 2" off the ground! I got a tempting offer for a trade on some WMB Meisters but I really want to give these a full effort rather than not even try, based on tires. My reasoning is above

Those rega's will look good, if you need help finding anything used I've got a buddy that will be sure to hook it up. JDM tyte wheels all day, yo! Just let me know if you're seriously interested...

I'm personally not a fan of the audi; roll cage with that fitment? Sure, his fitment is good, for what he's going for, but pick a direction and run with it; don't try to do too many things at once!

Was the intention of this rim to seriously be a **** & *****??!!! EPIC FAIL

I want a set of Flat Black CE28N's in 19x10.5 +22 but it's a tad more aggressive than I want to go and just a bit out of my price range right now. New rims are going to be ordered by this weekend, tho.

Here are the Volks:
