Lot's of potential, just needs some attention to detail. But looks are subjective I guess.

Yeah...most of our 5-10 year old cars are actually daily driven and not carpet queens.
Imperfections happen, they don't stay mint forever.
To each his own.

Yeah mine is almost 10 years old and daily driven so I know. But if you show your car it should be mint whether you daily it or not. And whether your car is mint or not is a choice. But yes, to each his own. Some have more give a ***** than others,

I dont think Dlum ever intended his car to look perfect and to win shows. I wouldn't tear into him for some barely noticeable body damage. This is the "aggressive wheel fitment thread" not a show car thread.

Agreed. Some people prioritize differently as well. Things that actually are a worth-while investment rather than one in which rapidly depletes with minimal return gain, that is unless you hang onto the car forever and stick limited amounts of money into it - but how realistic is that?
It's a shame how much money oneself will continue to dump into a car, eventually leading up to buying another.

Arguing about who buys the cheapest tires and who's cars are beat/not and still shows, what has this thread turned into? lol
Federals have jumped leaps and bounds over the past years (RS-R's!) and Achilles tires have gotten a bit more respect the past couple years (Thanks, Daigo) but I still prefer higher tier tires. I really wouldn't consider Falkens ****, when the RT615 first came out they were one of the top performers. Go to SEMA and walk down the wheel and tire section, you will literally see hundreds of Chinese tire manufacturers that you have never heard of. It's small unknown brands like these that I personally would not run on my car though some people really just get the cheapest option possible.

Oh so now I am "tearing into him"?
We all have opinions man, and my opinion is the look is incomplete, thus reducing the potential greatly. And if you show your car, then it is playing the role of a show car and thus opening yourself up to judgement.
You seem to be the only one butt hurt about it. I guess I struck a nerve...........
Extensive modifications?

Oh and FYI, CWP and WWP are my second favorite RX-8 colors and will be my next so I hate seeing one with potential go to waste. Un repaired body damage is just a huge pet peeve of mine.
