I've been driving slammed rides since I was 18, every single car I've ever owned has gotten on a flatbed with no protruding ricer towhook whatsoever, including the one I destroyed the tranny on driving over a raised manhole cover, it shattered my tranny and I had to push the car to get it up the bed etc. I've done the 2x5 trick, in Vegas even with my aired up all the way we found these metal plates in an alley and used those to get the car off and on a trailer...because that's just how baller I am.
The majority of cars I see them on will NEVER see a track (honestly, not in a guhzillion years) so to drive around with one poking out when you're a) not that low, or B) never going to see a track, is purely retarded. I would even say if you are going to see a track, freakin' bring it with you and put it on if you need it, driving around with one just seems dumb to me, almost like an accident waiting to happen.

enough off topic, this thread needs moar pics

dubs on an s2k?!?

So here's a serious question, I'm all but certain I'm pitching my air ride and going back to being static, I've got 19x8.5 +36 in the front and 19x9.5 +29 in the rear, if I did want to push my wheels out a hair with the new suspension how would I know what size spacer to get? I didn't spec the wheels I have now (Lazi did) but it does seem they're borderline aggressive when the car was lowered on s-techs (compared to being aired out etc.)

This is a shot I took when I had smaller tires on them:

I've since gone up a size front (235/35)and rear (265/30), and I rolled the fenders as well.

I'm not sure I get your drift (no pun intended), are you saying no poke and no drop if you don't track your car? If so I disagree, but to each their own.

Either way, you have had some beautiful cars. Great work!

Enough chit chat. Now back to RX8 stuff

I got the tires mounted today. 18 x 10 +42 Forgestars with 265/35 -18 Nitto NT-05's Stance coilovers and these are going on this weekend (weather permitting) on Hoss-05's car

Oh and in case you were wondering about weight. My stocke wheels with 245/40-18 tires weighed 46.0lbs.

Haha my friend just got some 521's for his accord. He's running 18x8.5 +25 front and 18x10 +30 in the rear.

Badass, The 9.75in width was the big hint. Post pics asap and when my 521's get back from the powdercoaters and my coilovers come in I will throw some up.

BTW 9k those will look proper, meatpoke!

oh those totally weren't my cars, if I had that kind of cash laying around I wouldn't be sitting here playing on the internet

I was just bitching about how some people drive around with non-functional tow hooks poking out, one of those things, like when I see someone in an M3 convertible (or equivalent) and they have the windows up.

so who can give me some pointers on spacers? feel free to pm me so we don't clutter up the thread anymore, in the meantime google will be my friend and I'll probably figure it out anyway lol

edit:nevermind, here's a good link in case anyone needs a reference http://www.ichibausa.com/whspveii.html

Nice! There's times I've been tempted to sell my 8 and build a wannabe Silvia but I just can't bring myself to it just yet
