I think the "aggressive specs" need adjusted. Way more people are running 9.5 +35, 9+30 etc. than before. The best way to set it up would be a point system with width/offset/tire size all adding up to form a score and there being a minimum base line for it to be aggressive. I'm not smart enough to set that up so I'll suggest this:
8 +15, 8.5 +20 , 9 +25, 9.5 +30, 10 +35, 10.5 +40
8 +15, 8.5 +20 , 9 +25, 9.5 +30, 10 +35, 10.5 +40
Also, what's with all this bullshit talking? Who cares, everyone likes different ****. I agree, either running a wider tire or spacing it out to fill the fender more will help but in the mean time, he can do what he wants.
Here are a couple pictures to try to veer this thread back...

Ehh, I don't know if it is up anywhere, it's just a suggestion. The sliding scale thing just seems silly, 10.5 +40 hardly requires much to work in the first place.
No hookup on wheels and tires
Last and final setup is 18x10.5 +18 ce28n w/ 265/35 rs3's. I only have one picture of the setup because the day I mounted is the day my motor went (April 20) and I still haven't got my car back.

A few crappy shots because I just couldn't wait, lol. I'll probably have a good set of pics later this week. No rubbing either
