Acura Tsx Wheel Fitment?

I am about to buy a cheap set of acura tsx wheels so I can have an extra set of wheels and tires to burn up at auto cross.

Anyways I wanted to make sure they would fit.
Specs on them are:
5x114.3
17x7
+55mm offset

Everything seems to check out other than the +55 offset
Will that fit? Stock 18's are +50mm offset.

They are $200 with good tires

They are local

I need a set by this sunday

Don't care about performance loss, they will only be on once a month at autox and I am not competitive at all, other than trying to get a better time than my previous run

They will keep me smiling during my runs and keep my wallet happy from burning up the new set of tires I just put on.

Yes, they will fit. I would tell you those arent very good sizes AT ALL to autox on for our car but who am I to tell you what to spend your money on.

If you're serious about autocross, turn these wheels into your daily drivers and use the OEMs for autocross.

I have them now and plan to use them sunday so if they are as bad as everyone says they are going to be then I might do just that (being what is in the quote) .

Can I ask what number is so strange to make everyone not suggest these wheels though? I thought they were quite similar to stock wheel specs.

It's just that you want the widest possible tire for autox, and going down to tsx sizing will give you worse performance than stock. Most people try to improve handling, not decrease it. I realize it's just for fun but there are cheap wide rims available too which you could throw some used wide tires on, all for less than a grand if you look around.

if you just wait you find some good rpf1's or something similar sell with good tires for less than 1k. just got to be patient.

Sorry to bump an ancient thread but - a 17x7 +55 would clear calipers safely?

Sweet!!!

I was under the impression that anything below a +50 would run too close to the brakes.....of course I could be wrong!
