The 8 with my snow tires!

Got my Rx8 about a month ago and got snow a few days after. It was pretty scary drifting and sliding everywhere on the 18"s and OEM rubber. It was really dangerous

I ended up getting some Hankook Ipike W409s last weekend. I figured a lot of people have the Blizzaks so I went out on a limb and tried something that's not used very often. I read somewhere that they were basically Nokian knock-offs

My drive to work was awesome! the car felt like it was glued to the ground. No spinning or drifting, even at high speeds on twisty roads.

here are some pics

I am currently considering the iPike w409's. Any update to how you like them?

I couldn't tell from the picture, but do you have studs as well?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Well 9k, fortunately the snow in those pictures melted somewhere around 4 years ago.

Jcrane, the original thread creator logged on yesterday, so it appears he is still active. But you might want to check the winter tire review threads for more opinions on various winter tires.

Yep, I saw that. I am hoping he logs on again and posts an update.

I have read as many winter tire threads as I could find, but an looking for specific feedback on the iPikes. I used to have Dunlop Wintersports and hated them.
