Hi Folks, hoping for some advice... Earlier today I went to the store, and after getting back into my car it wouldn't start - I would only hear a click... I was able to push start it, and figured it was the battery (the one in there was fairly old, and there was a fair bit of corrosion on it) so replaced it. I cleaned the terminals, put the new battery in, then got in to start it and... only heard a click again. From what I've read on this site, I'm likely looking at either the solenoid or the starter - is it worth putting in a new solenoid for starters?

 

Have you tried tapping the solenoid with a heavy spanner they cant get stuck

 

Did you check the connection to the starter?
