so the weather is starting to get cold.... i bought the car in the begining of the summer

what do you know! the heat dosent work.

when the engine is warmed up i will put the fan on and turn the know to heat all the way< some times hot air will blast in my face for like 3 seconds then change to cold cold air.

sometimes it will just always be cold and not give me the few seconds of warm air.

i a prety sure it is something to do with the electronics.

it is becoming an issue because i cant defog the windshield in cold weather.


does anybody have any suggestions on what i should do?

i too have this same issue except sometimes the heat only comes out passengers side vents the drivers is a bit colder.then there is no heat all all this has happened just after they replaced the engine on mine but before that it had a great furnace in it. i checked the coolant and it appears to have some in the tank but the car was hot and i was able to remove the cap without it blowing up this strikes me as abnormal shouldnt it come bursting out when engine is hot if anyone could help with this that would be great.thanks

Check to see if it is your heater control's bad circuit joints by pressing and holding "Power" and "Scan Up". I had the same problem and fixed it by resoldering the three joints indicated in that DIY above.

When it was broken, it was either at the warmest or the coldest. It changed to coldest only.

Keep it on all hot or all cold.

There is no in between
