Hey All

Recently, since it is approaching summer i have encountered a few weird problems with my car.

When the car is hot, and the car is just started and AC on, it struggles to hold idle.
My Scangauge showed that it was operating a 12.6Volts before it almost stalled with the warning lights on and restarted by itself, (04 Automatic), Without AC it would stay around the 13.3-13.5 Volt Range.

When the car is normal temperature, cooler day without AC it will stay around 13.8-14 Volts. AC doesnt seem to be a issue either.

I have a Optima Yellow Top that was put in maybe 2 years ago

What does everyone think the issue is here?

Check the connections between the battery and the alternator....if it`s not great...you can have a low voltage situation just after a large load at idle.

 

I'm not sure it's a electrical problem. Please give us some more info. How many miles? What service and parts has the car had? Have you been having any other problems. Have you cleaned your MAF sensor. Have you tried any de-carbon cleaning?

 

Maf has been cleaned, Miles doesnt really matter, Non-OEM coils (Bosch Coils, they either fail or they dont), Sparks replaced less then 1,000kms, Decarbed Recently.
