So.. i have a 07 rx8 that i got used this past summer

everything was great, but for the last month or two, when im doing extremely light accleration.. like.. pushing a mm down on the accerlation pedal, i can hear a slight whistle, its a slightly high pitched whiny whistle sound or something from the engine area, and i didnt think it was there before, but i could be wrong

i was wondering if this was normal like fuel injection sound / oil injection sound at very low rpms or not, or if im going crazy, or if its something i should get addressed

i suppose its not that big of a deal, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it, I never noticed that squeak on any other car ive ever driven

 

i dont think its anything u should worry about do u have an aftermarket air filter
a dirty air filter idk

Its normal dude, when i cleaned out my K&N air filter the whistling started also. And when I removed my walls inside my air box the whistling became louder. But yeah don't worry about it its normal. You might want to clean out your air filter if you haven't.
