Is it time to dump it??

So a few months ago I drove from WPB to Dade when I was on the HWY I noticed a loss of power around 75mph I tried stepping on it and nothing but rev's down shifted and then shifted up and BAM back on track..of course the CEL went crazy. Got off the HWY got to a light and BAM she shut down...after a rough start she was up and at it again. On the return trip same issue. I replaced the Fuel pump the coils the plugs the wires and did an oil change...side bar I did all this last year when I didnt have a problem...now everyday I start its a hard start to a rough idle alot of smoke and the smell of gas ...and ofcourse the CEL goes crazy. I checked the code it says misfire? WTH Im at a lost at this time..any suggestions will be greatly appreciated..2004 116k miles 6spd.. BTW once she is started and warmed up and driven at 50-60 locally there is not issue only at start up and long drives

I might also suggest a cooling system pressure test to see if there's some internal leak into the rotors causing the misfire. And of course, a compression test.

BC.

Ok so I have installed new plugs wires coils..new fuel pump water pump and thermostat..changed the oil and obviously flushed out the coolant. Now I still have a rough idle at first for about 15 sec until she warms up...and still a slightly rough start....the only thing I can think off is probably my battery is going and I may need to replace the cat...on a side note the oil was milky before I changed the water pump now it looks ok..any suggestions?

ESS profile reset?

I did all the work on Tuesday...and I have driven it around a few stop and starts
I hate the compression test I will dump it if all else fails before I do that, so depressing...cooling system test, well I did the back yard mechanic test all the hoses pressurized when I started and got it to running temp...
