Hi All,
Just to know if I'm concerned.
I installed an Exidy stage 1(not HD), BHR flywheel, act cw, BHR hd release bearing (skf) since 2010. 25kmiles and 4 trackdays with no problem.
The car has been serviced for a year to install some stuffs like a rollcage.
The mastervrac and the pedals will be unistalled and reinstalled.
Oil has been changed with redline 75W140.
The circuit bled.
After that, at the very first try, I had the problem.
The problem is the clutch pedal can be depressed half way without any resistance, after the feeling is normal.
When hot (engine oil 195-212F) and hard upshift, is really problematic the 3rd to 4th, less the 4th to 5th.
Double de-clutch seems to work...

Thanking you in advance

The gearbox is an EUDM 6Y 2004 with 63kmiles.

Sounds like you need to bleed the clutch line some more.

Threadsurrection

Sorry for the major thread revival. General consensus here is to stick with OEM TOB to avoid issues. I plan on getting my build together this summer and just gathered parts. I see here many people have ordered a variety of exedy clutched from "stage 1" to "HD" etc. I was wondering if anyone had part numbers for the TOB and if all exedy TOB's have plastic internals. Main reason is, i ordered the "OEM" clutch replacement P/N: MZK1002 with the TOB P/N: BRG0145. Thanks folks!

The TOB that comes with the OEM clutch kit is fine.
Mine has been working flawlessly since I replaced the HD kit.

Thank you! I thought that that all exedy TOB's would be crap. Still might just go OEM for the peace of mind!

I found that the MazdaSpeed (Exedy Stage 1 HD) kit had issues with the throwout bearing. I replaced mine with a KOYO and rechecked the torque on the pressure plate bolts. No problems after that.
