still need a little help on my 8 (starting)

Hey guy, i have a few post on here and still having problems. i just bought my 04 rx8 just rolled over 100k. its not starting right, i turn the key let the fule pump prime ad turn the key. the motor turns over fine but its like its not getting any spark. the spark plugs have about 500 miles on them still look new. i changed the camshaft placement sen. and cleaned the o2 sen. after that i changed the oil and seafoamed it and still not starting right. i just found the starter and it looks new as well. the only thing left that i know is coils.. i see alot of post about the same kind of problems but i dont ever see a fix to anything. and im new the these motors im not really sure whats going on. also my dad had alot of rx7s back in the day, he told me to put transmission fluid into my break booster. idk if this will work on 8s. any help will be great.

1. Posted in the wrong section.

2. Whoa with the spell check

3. Compression test should have been the first and foremost thing you should have done before pissing away money elsewhere. Stop, put the wrenches down, call mazda, schedule a compression test.

camshaft?

Could be many things. It's very hard to diagnose issues over the internet.
Could be :
bad battery
cat converter
plugs/coils
fuel pump
air filter
maf/ess sensor
etc etc

i have tried on my phone and it does not let me type in the box. and by the time u posted this u could have answered at least one of my questions. like i said before i have been on a lot of forums, and i use the search button a lot, when i can. but when i cant use i have to make a post. but i really would like just answers, so if you could take the dickness two clicks to the left, we will all be a little happier.

My advice to you is get a compression check.
you can use a standard tester just pop the little thing out ( stem )
or whatever it's called can't think right now lol.

That will tell you a lot. you might have 20psi and 10psi lol i mean no telling.
do that asap before spending any more $

and yea i feel you on just wanting answers lol i got flamed pretty good when i asked my first 2 questions ahah.

be a dick to me i be a dick back lol

Low compression = New engine time

You will know if you have low compression
my 8 runs fine on 98psi 1 rotor 89 2nd rotor.

even if you get a reading like 90psi / 60psi your car should still start.
if it's 60/60 might be a diff story.

get a test done asap and report back.

had to push it back to Wednesday :/ stilll waiting. the starting has gotten a lot easier, just have to prime the pump at least 4 times before start up. :/ but it will start pretty easy if i do that. and i am getting smoke when i start up as well, not for very long but its white smoke and its there till about the time till i get to the stop sign at the end of my street(0.3 miles) but from what i have read that normal. im pricing motors now (just in case) any good places i should check out? and wcs, love you

Ya ... I do the same thing with the pump and it seems to help, but I can't explain it .... I think its just in our heads.

I have hard start issues as well ..... but my engine has a long and glorious history of much horsepower and continues to run awesome sooooo all this hard start stuff has me puzzled.
I've also noticed a considerable difference in starting between the stock coils and the BHR coils .... in the way you probably would not expect.
My car starts up right away with new stock coils, when I put the BHR coils on I have a longer start time. <shrug>
That being said I still use the BHR coils

Post 6 in this thread explains everything about compression tests ....
https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/

Another active compression thread and what you should expect to see from Mazda as a set of results.

Good luck ....
But in IMO smoke is not good ... my car doesn't do that
