Small-town Stranded and My 8 Won't Start

I'm in my small hometown (no mazda dealership within an hour radius or more), and my car won't start. I'm very proud of my car, and it worries me because I take really good care of it. I would prefer that nobody here looks at it, I don't think they would have any experience with a rotary engine.

I thought it might be flooded, but I tried all suggestions that I saw, and nothing. I tried jumping it off, as well, and still nothing. I've never had any problems at all with my engine or anything, and it has plenty of gas.

2004 Manual Transmission
I acts like it is going to start, turning over and everything, but it never kicks in and turns on.

It's been sitting for a few days. I jumped my friend off recently before the problem, but it has been driven since. I went to close the sunroof when it started raining, and accidentally started it and turned it right off again. It's been really hot (95-100), and other than that I don't know any way my situation could cause any other problems.

I have to go back and work soon. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Katie

That's it. Flooded.

If you've already tried the deflooding procedure in the owner's manual, your next best bet is to pull the spark plugs and clean them.

It's flooded. Call roadside, remember that is included in the warranty, provided it is still under the factory warranty and they will take it to Mazda. Only other option would be to try to do the bulletin yourself....

Yea, I agree. I did a similar thing in my car a few months ago. I started it to move it from my driveway to the street, and shut it off. it was running for maybe 30 seconds. Went to start it the next day and no go. I did some research and found out about the flooding problem. I decided to not deal with it myself at all. I called roadside assistance. They towed it to my "local" mazda dealer (45 min away). Mazda replaced the battery and starter with "bigger" ones, replaced some of the spark plugs with a different kind, updated the software, and changed the oil (oil change at my cost). Had it back in a day and haven't had the problem since.

take off your spark plugs, WOT and crank for 20 sec.
wait 30 sec let the starter cool down, then again WOT and crank for another 20 sec.
keep doing the same thing until you can't smell no gas, then use a new set of spark plugs and start the car w/ wot. remember to let go the gas then it start, also keep charging your battery.
if you think it is too much work then call that 1-800 number and let the dealer deal with it.

Towed off

I called Roadsid Assistance. A man drove from an hour away to pick up my car. I guess I will just have to wait. Thanks for all y'all's help.
