Power steering issue

I have an 06 RX8 that has no EPS. I have checked the fuse and the high amp connections and all seems ok. is there anything else I can check?

Have you done a search yet using EPS? There are lots of threads on the issue.

That would be the connection near the over flow tank that gets corroded.

as I stated above I checked the high amp connections both at the top where the overflow is and at the bottom at the rack. I also checked the small three wire connections as well.

And by checked, does that mean that you looked to see if they are connected, or does that mean that you looked at the connections, took them apart, cleaned them with whatever needed to remove corrosion build up, and then snapped them back together?

I don't think your idea of checked equals that of everyone else on the forum.

BC.

I pulled all 4 connections apart and physically examined the terminals for any corrosion or any other reason why I would not have continuity. All the terminals are clean.

so what else could be wrong if the electrical connections are in fact clean and fuse is good?

Could be the rack, EPS control unit, or the fuse..did you check that?

...or the wiring harness

From what I understand the rack is pretty solid and is pretty rare for that to go out. I checked all terminal connections on the wiring harness. I even pulled the harness out of the car and ohm'ed it out on the high tension and low tension leads. Fuse is OK as well. Where is the EPS control module located?
