Possible Stalling Issue
Hey all,
So the car is an 04 MT with 39K miles on the original engine. Recently replaced plugs, wires, and coils (within 3K miles). Car has never given me a problem.
However, I was driving it two days ago and after warming up completely I stopped at a light and the RPMs dropped below 500 causing the car to start chugging like it was going to stall. While this happened I was focused on the tach and saw a red light flash and then dissapear - didn't see what it was, something in the bottom right. When the RPMs dropped I gave it a little gas to pick it back up and that's when the light dissapeared (it was up for approx. half a second). After this occurence I came to a stop at multiple lights afterwards and had no problem; idled fine.
So the question is, should I be worried? Should I clean the e-shaft and/or check for vaccum leaks in the intake maybe? Since this is the first "problem" my baby has given me I'm just worried.

So the code will be stored even if the CEL isn't on? I filled up about two weeks ago. I'm a college student so I don't drive all that often (once a week). Premium is a must and oil is always topped off. I cleaned the MAF probably about 3-5K miles ago but I could give it a go again. I'll have to check the air filter because I have neglected to check it for a while.
