Overheating?
Overheating?
I noticed that if I take my car on the highway I fell it gets pretty warm inside the car. Yesterday I drove it on highway for couple miles , making 60mph , didn't push the car at all and it was pretty damn hot inside the car and when I parked , the radiator kept going for like 10 minutes before it turned off. I gotta admit it was very hot day yesterday in Chicago, I was driving at 9PM and it was still 90F outside. Is that normal? Are rotary engines tend to overheat or get really hot like that in hot weather?
keep in mind where your transmission is, that'll make the center console area nice and toasty.
perfectly normal for the fans to be on after driving in such weather, I've seen mine on for 15 minutes+ in triple digit heat.
as long as you don't see smoke, a coolant light, or coolant boiling over, you should be good.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to check your coolant levels with summer around the corner. Also, when was the last time you flushed the coolant system? (it's a good thing to do every few years)

flush it. It's quick, easy, and cheap.

just be prepared to have a container large enough to hold the fluid you'll be removing.

Seems normal to me. The Vegas summer heat does the same with my car. After a long drive, the fan stays on when the engine is already off probably the most is 3 minutes for mine.
