New Radio HELP!?!?
Ok so i was installing a system when my car shorted and fried the Radio board. Now tonight im still working on this i have the new radio installed and hooked up with my old AC controls. BUT my center LCD turns on solid red and the radio does not respond to any buttons on the faceplate. It will take a CD in and i can control the volume and the track by using the steering wheel. the AC controls do not work the only one that works is the fan speed no lights or anything on any buttons. Please help!!
Thanks

? i already replaced it i have the new one here.... And i installed it and those are the symptoms.
Its already 2am here and i just removed the faceplate from the HU again. and i took 1 hour making sure the teeth line up into the faceplate on the driver side of the Faceplate. Tmrw morning i will reinstall it and take a look. If still not working anything else i should look at?

No. I am able to give it a CD and it takes it and begins to play it. But i can only control it from the Steering wheel and not the Radio itself. I think its a bad connection between the faceplate and the Actual Headunit itself. tmrw morning ill post pics of the screen

I have this same exact problem, but it wasn't a result of shorting my radio. The cause of this is most likely where the screws go in where the faceplate connects to the radio. If these become loose, they will cause your problem. If I press near the location of the screws on the faceplate, bottom left and right, I can get power back on the lcd and control the radio, as well as AC. On mine, the plastic holes where the screws go in broke, so I need a new faceplate to fix this.
