Hi everyone! Still new to this site and to the car
I've read about the vibration and how replacing the motor mounts can fix this.
I recently have been experiencing vibrations that feel like a massage chair on light-medium setting.
At idle (it's not so bad when it's parked). and I think there was some lesser vibrations when I was driving as well (could have been my imagination, will have to drive more to be sure).
I went to the dealer to set up an appointment for: coolant light randomness, engine oil service, rattling from the rear of the car and drivers side door, as well as the vibrations.
I told him all this and he seemed to shrug off the part about vibrations. I was a little confused at first, but as I got home i realized that he probably thought it was something trivial and shrugged it off.
I plan on going back because I want this fixed. Should I just tell him straight up "I've been experiencing unusual car vibrations, so could you replace the motor mounts as well?" This is my first time dealing with dealerships and the like =/ Any advice would be very much appreciated.
If anyone has had any rattling in the areas that I specified, if you could link me a thread or post specifying what the cause was, I think that will help the dealership in resolving the problem.
Details on the rattle:
The rear rattle only makes noise on a country road, but on a regular road its quiet. It sound like a pebble bouncing around.
The drivers side door rattle is correlated to the vibrations. Don't really know how to describe the sound.
After I post this, I still plan on searching threads and posts!

hey jin,
I def had the same issues as you. after numerous dealer and tyre wholesaler visits and endless forum hoping it turned out it was mixture of things. at least for me.
Had the vibrations so booked my car in as it was due for a service too. had a few recall notices on it aswell so left it with em for a few days.
after the recall work (engine oil hosing) and service was caried out i was told the vibration was due to engine mounts.
car went in a few days later to get both replaced, problem solved....for 2 days. then it started again, an this time im getting random coolant lights!!!!!
back in again and im told one of the mounts is misplaced so they fix and this time its perfect. as good as new!!!!
but now im getting coolant warning randomness which im investingating. im assured the engine is getting the coolant and its not leaking. so the only other thing it could be is the sensor. thats getting replaced soon. ill let you know bout that one. but defo get the engine mount replaced!!!!!

For the Virbation, just tell them to replace the motor mount.

so was the cause to the rattling sound in the rear found?
my rear suicide door on the driver's side now gives an occasional rattling sound for a while when I open the driver's door. and this happens when the car is not moving. could it be the seatbelt tensioning system or the airbag? thanks

Right side motor mount.

There is a motion limiter on the motor mounts, normally there is a 1/4 inch gap on the top and bottom where it fits into the aluminum bracket. Most likely if you look at it you will see that on the top there is no gap.
The head light leveling sensor is flimsily. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the suspension arm that it is connected to and you can duplicate the noise.
