IT's not a matter of the shaft "dropping" etc. It will sit in it's exact position for all eternity until acted on by an outside force... movement of the shaft or engine. The gear keeps the rotor in rotational time with respect to the shaft and housing...it has little to do with holding it up.

K good. Talking to steve he said that if i send him the gear he will press in a new bearing and include all parts needed to fix the front stack. So looks like no need to buy a bearing or press it myself.

Well worse case it gets rebuilt again. Thats what I love about cars you can always fix the parts. even if its a frozen bolt that breaks off inside a piece of metal. Nothing can ever be broken.

With that said if you have no interest in engineering I can see cars being a major pain in the ****. If I were to find my self involved with racing I'd most likely be a tech versus a driver.

Well, i got my parts from Steve today along with the stationary gear back with the new bearing installed. I have been working on the car since about 3:00. Finally got it all put back together and installed. Everythign is ready for the Startup to see if it fires. However, Battery is dead. I have the best luck ever. Prolly goin to wait till the girl gets home from work. She has the jumper cables. Its on the battery charger now, but i dont think it will do much for my needs. anyway, just givin the update.

well i had the same symptoms as phish. i can get it started, but its really hard since it floods every time i start it. once i get it running it will idle. the idle hunts every now and again. it will eventually stall and flood. if i try to put it in any gear it will stall and flood also.

there also a problem with my transmission. the AT light will flash on and off sometimes. it will also not go into neutral very easily. i have to play around with the shifter a little and then sometimes it just comes out on its own. at least that is what the light on the dash is telling me. it will just go blank. i had a tranny cooler line leak before, but i fixed that.

i also have to get new gauge wiring and re-route them so they won't get melted next time.

my Cobb AP decided to **** the bed. it wont turn on when i connect it to my computer or my car. hopefully Cobb can take it back and fix it still.

there's an oil leak somewhere near the front of the motor. i cannot tell exactly where it is coming from. it runs down on the oil pan.

i haven't been able to verify the wobbling yet. is that enough problems? lol

Ok guys, we are back to pull starting. The thing wont start off of the starter. Also, it still wont Idle. HOWEVER, the car runs perfectly once you pop start it. It does through the gears fine and the RPMS all look good.

Its throwing codes for being rich. P0172 and P2097. I am going to try and play with the mix trim function while on the move and see if i can get it to idle. I will let you guys know what teh results are. Any other suggestions on this again guys?

Went out and messed with the MIXTRIM functin. I got nothing. Leaning it up only made the car worse. Adding fuel did the same. I also threw a p0113 code while i was driving. I may try and cleaning the MAF in a bit and see if that helps.

ANother thing, which could be important and prolly is. Is the Setting on the INT X. Right now its running the Turbo 91 MAP that comes loaded on the INT-X. Somehow in all of the playing around and screwing with it over the last couple years, i no longer have the Esmeril map. I am assuming that the Turbo map on the INT-x is set up for different injectors then the Esmeril and the 1000cc with the kit being in the secondary position... i think (outer most spots on the rail). IF it thinks there are other injectors in the car then there acutally is, that could be the issue. How do i check this out guys.

I cleaned the MAF, did nothing as far as helping the issue.

I also swapped out to the stock ECU, to see if it made a difference. It allowed the car to start off of the starter, however you had to crank it over for a bit and feed it a little throttle. It wold eventually start. However, the car wills still not hold idle even with the stock ecu. While driving it around a few blocks, the car would also hesitate and kinda buck once every couple of minutes. Again this is all on the stock ECU now. I will most likely be putting hte INT-x back in here shortly

well put the INT-x back on. Still here with the no start and with the no idle. I put prolly 20 miles on it since putting it all together again. I also noticed that when trying to idle the AF is at around 13. so if anything it looks lean to me.

Now it sounds like tuning issues....if you don't have a proper map you can't really expect too much

You should be able to tune it to idle easy enough......Likely need a bit more fuel at idle..and more cranking fuel to get it started..

Are you sure it's flooding...??? The starting AFR will likely be richer than 13.0 with the INTx

Not sure what its doin actually, the air fuel being 13 when i drop it down and let it try to idle tells me more fuel needs to be added. I am not sure what needs to be done to get it to start.

I need to get my hands on an esmeril map somehow.

I will try to play with the int x to get it to start. Cant do much with idle untill i can get someone to pull start me again .

I played with the INT-X and WHALA, the bitch holds idle. I also got it to start off of the INT-X. Its still a really hard start, but it will start. Just takes about ten or fifteen seconds to get it goin but it eventually fires. I will play with the starting problems tomorrow. hopefully i can get it starting a little easier.

I did however take it for a drive to get gas today. Nearest place with 91 is in a town 9 miles away. I made the trip there and back and filled up. It was a really ncie ride and everythign ran extremely well. I never shut the car off though lol. Afraid to till i work out the starting issues.

Any suggestions on getting it to start easier i am open to.

I would also like to thank everyone for all the help along the way. No way this would be running as well as it is without everyones help. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions and walk throughs on what to do. Appreciate it.
