Need your input on 3 problems

This are my problems:

1 MNAO hasn't isued the hard start (new starter batery) in PR so my dealer wont replace them, unless I buy them. My batery is basicaly dead, my car wil have trouble starting if I don't start it in atleast 24 hours and if the inside lights are in the door position it wont start in the morning (it's not a short because it is the same sintheoms if I leave it off for more than a day. Aparently the fact that the lights take 3 minutes to turn off after you close the door it dranes the little charge the battery has. This started right after I left the car on the dealer for the last oil change.

Also I have a scraping sound on WOT from 1st to 3rd. I think its rotary ping because it only does it when I put cheap gas on it (87 octane) when I put the good stuf in it (93 octane exon, esso in PR) it doesen't do it.

so my questions are:

1 how can I contact MNAO to see if they are sendinr the recall letters to Plaza motors (the mazda importer in PR)

2 will buying a new better batery will fix my problem

3 does anyone know if the scraping ishue Im having is PING or are there known ishyes with the flywheel clutch or anything else that might cause scraping from 1 to 3rd while hard acceleration.

any help would be greatly apreciated.

1) Just buy a charger and charge the battery your self. You can turn off the light accessory so it goes off after you close the door. It's a switch in the roof.

2) Yes, the new one will have more crankning power.

3) Don't buy the bad gas

i know, but I've been buying the cheap stuff because I'm going through a rogh economic patch.

And i know how the light switch works but if I leave it in the door position it dranes the battery. I have to keep it in the off positon so thet the baterry will have enogh juice in it in the morning to start the car.

i think you have a drain in your electric system, disconnect your negative cable and put a test light in between your cable and battary, if the test light glow that means you have a drain in your system. after you know there is a drain then start pulling the fuse out one at a time to see if the test light stop glowing, when the test light stop glowing that means that circut have a fault somewhere. for a cheap fix just keep that fuse out while parking over night, for a long term find out is it a switch or sensor that need to replace.
never use 87 ping means engin replacement.

Leaving your car for more than 24 hours and can't crank, looks like more than just a dead battery. Just use higher octance gas.

Thanks for the help. I tried cheking the negative battery pole with a light and with the car off it still lights. I used to think this was normal. ?? since the alarm, still has power and the little blinking light on the dash (security) is still on.

If it's not. please let me know. I didn't have time to try disconecing the fuses one at a time but will try it next weekend. I am hoping it is not a short because it all started when I left the car on the dealer for the lower control arm recall.

*************Rant alert*********************
When they gave me the car back, it wouldnt start. i told them the baterry was dead and they told asked me if I wanted to buy a new one. I was like WTF, NO, just jump start me. The battery was good when I left it there one week before! so I pop the hood and i notice that the plastic cver for the battery was cracked. I tell the manager and he tells me that one of the techs had to jump start the car in the morning to get it into the shop. He tells me that they will replace the cover and "orders" it. That was 3 weeks ago and I call today and nobody knew about it. Finally they tell me it will arrive next tuesday.
**********End Rant**************************

Someone screw up the connection somewhere, get it fixed and parts replaced at the dealer then go find yourself a new dealer.
