Right before it dies a light comes up above the CEL light, which one is it? (I can't check on my car because I'm at work).
Your DSC and TSC are both off. Could you possibly have really low voltage due to a bad alternator?

The fans are coming on with no obstructions, I will check the VAD when I get a chance

It is the batterry light, but there is nothing wrong with the alternator or the battery, because both of them are brand new.

Wouldn't hurt to check the voltage.....wouldn't be the first time "new" stuff didn't work

At some point the diagnosis needs to get more involved than us throwing guesses at it. You need to start someplace and systematically check things till you find a problem ( or a solution ) if you are a glass is half full guy

I can and will check the voltage, but I have been eliminating things systematically. This is why I came to the vacuum leak and replaced the seals on the intake, because I had to take it apart when I swapped engines. That seemed to be the only issue I had at the time. As was said I will check the voltage and VAD.

I'm saying this because I currently have a problem similar to yours. The car doesn't die while revving, it dies after you stop revving. Your belt might not be tight enough and slipping.

I doubt it, low compression wouldn't show up one day all of the sudden, it's gradual and you can perfectly drive the car with low compression, you will only have a loss of power until it finally gives.

In other news, I replaced my alternator yesterday and so far *this morning* I had no issues at all. Idling was fine all the way to work compared to yesterday when it would die as soon as I switched to neutral and let go of the gas.
