Good post, and almost on topic.

However, calling a helpful forum member a 'worthless pos' and then taking a shot at a moderator, who's only trying to calm things down - and all accomplished in your first ten posts, well that doesn't fortell a long tenure here at the old '8 Club......

wow, all kinds of win here... not.

Anyway, kgparts turns around injectors fairly quickly. I think mine were out a whole week. Don't be a nub and get them uncapped unless you have a means of redoing your injector maps.

Because my "avatar" is a silly looking cow and my profile has some incredibly basic information you assume I have no experience with the Rx-8 model and certain DIY or quick fix remedies to help someone who might of bought a car just because it was fast and wanted something nice to drive around. Heaven forbid people make mistakes!!
Many of us have signatures and avatars turned off, but on the cow avatar.

We weren't making the assumption that you had no experience based on an avatar though, we were basing it on a post that you made where you used incorrect terminology.

Thanks for the clarification.

Though you have to understand that on a forum where text is the only means of communication, using the wrong words (even unintentionally) is bound to generate a negative reaction, and your post really DID look like you have no idea what you are talking about. We know now that it was just that you didn't use the words correctly, but think about your own area of expertise out in life. If someone who knew all about that same area of expertise came up to you and started using all the wrong words to explain themselves, you would look at them like an idiot too.

Accuracy of the words you use is an important dynamic of forum interaction.

Help remove carbon, yes, increase octane, yes. However do the math on what an increase of octane it actually is. For example, an octane booster that increases octane by 3 points does not mean that it increases an 87 to a 90. 3 points is 0.3 octane. That 87 just became an 87.3 At an average price of even $5 for 15oz, you are paying at a rate of about $42 a gallon for it. Say you want to make your 89 a 91, you would need ~7 bottles, or $35 of it. At a 13 gallon fillup on the 8, you would need a price difference of $2.69 per gallon more for 91 than 89 to break even.

I.e., if you want higher octane, just fill up with higher octane.

And having too high of an octane is worthless. If your engine is pinging, increasing octane has a value to it. If it isn't pinging, increasing octane is just throwing money away.

But, we have a whole octane thread here: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/octane-what-actually-means-does-190858/

how about diluting the effectiveness of the OMP by breaking down viscosity of injected oil. there is such a thing as too clean.

I have no feelings about anything on the internet, I consider it all a joke. Most of the things people say on here they wouldn't dare repeating in public.

Most of the stuff i say is sarcastic and witty, I gave up on trying to talk sense to people about a year ago.

Alright guys well i invested in me a diagnostic tool scan my pcm having this rx8 for 2years im tired of going up to auto zone, after running it i got codes: P2070, P0302, P0420, and p0704. After doing lots of research going in n out of threads i see Intake Manifold tuning valve stuck open bank 1 is what is malfunctioning so ima pull that and clean it following a thread i found. I also found from code P0302 that i have a Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected, i believe that is a result of me having a bad ignition #2 coil is what the tool is saying, to cure this i will buy the BHR ignition kit, yes overkill but ive been eying it on here for a while that that Charles guy is selling because i been needing to change my wires and coils anyways, it seems to make a big difference so i will invest in it, if anyone have any info or suggestions on it speak up im still learning so im ALL EARS! Based off what ive said if u got anything else to help out it'll b greatly appreciated seeing that i cant drive for 10 to 15 miles without it killin on me and fouling the plugs and having a etremly hard time cranking up! Wish me luck my 8 is too clean to b sittin in the garrage
