Excessive debris getting sucked up by cabin filter!

A few weeks ago I had a large amount of leaves and what looked like small acorns being sucked up into the cabin air filter.

Checked again today and I had tons of fiberglass insulation sucked into there.

Is there a filter/grill where the air enters pre-cabin filter that I may be missing? Or is this normal?

The only filter for your in-cabin air system is the two filters that are located behind the glove box.

you CAN make some wired screen around the inlet. but to me thats just a waste of time.

Why dont you change the route ? or you got all those crap around your home ?
