Dealer won't replace headlights or rotors...

I've got the goo/ haze on the inside of my headlights, which is suppose to be covered under warranty, but since it didn't come up as a recall they wont replace them. Not to mention the rust on the rotor's, which they said was due to weathering...

What should i do?

Regarding the haze on the headlight covers. Since they are glass, did you consider taking them off and cleaning them?

The rust on the brake rotors. For the record. All steel brake rotors rust if they get wet. That is why some after market suppliers make such a big deal regarding special coating or paint on all non contact surface areas to limit the rusting of the rotors. I have a 1998 Mercedes SL600 and its rotors rust exactly the same way. The rust does not effect the performance.

That is the only real drawback in having open mag wheels. It lets us see the wear and tear of the brakes.

In reality there is not much you can or should do. Just accept those areas as part of the territory regarding cars.

Don't think so.......

Sorry Dragonrider.......my lenses are plastic. And it is not possible to clean the inside as the units are sealed. I guess you could remove the bulbs and use a long cotton swab or something. On the other hand, when I buy a NEW car, I expect to receive a unit with minimal problems and blemishes. With only 2K miles on mine, I'm simply waiting until the fog becomes really nasty so the the dealer is forced to replace the lights under warranty.

Not sure about the rotors but sure seems others were able to get the lights fixed, if this is the same issue, see below:

So maybe you just need a more customer focused dealer!

While Canada customers are directed to contact the District Office, US customers are directed to contact MNAO if the issue can't be resolved at the dealership:

My dealer said thet they won't replace my headlights also. They said a new version of the headlights will be coming out soon (that resolves this and othe issues)and they would replace them then.

FYI-On the TSB on the rusted rotors says to paint the rotor hubs and to rplace them if the custome is not satisfied.

Rust can be seen on the brake rotor hub area when looking between the wheel spokes. The rust is most visible on vehicles equipped with 17" chrome wheels. 1. Remove rust from hub(s) by sanding. 2. Clean/prep hub surface for primer. 3. Mask off brake rotor area. 4. Apply primer around entire hub area. 5. Once primer dries, apply a heat type silver paint to the affected area to repair the vehicle. Note: Replace the rotor(s) only if the affected area cannot be repaired enough to satisfy the customer.
