Getting new 05 headlights installed
As many of you may know about the issue, the fogging inside my headlights are pretty bad now. I just dropped my car off at the dealership to get them repaced with the 05 lights. Now correct me if i'm wrong but the 04 headlights did not come with a vent built into it but the 05's do. Right?

Mines are getting done right now at Browning mazda in Cerritos Cali. My car is always garaged during the week (its a weekend car) but during the crazy *** rainy season earlier this year i had my car parked outside for a month. It may have happened then. Kwestcott advised me about the issue. He said the 05's come with a built in vent. And to make things worse my left front headlight was kinda shakey. Very noticeable when your driving. Itold the service guy to fix that as well. I'll keep you guys updated. Man I should have taken some pix!

Just got off the phone with the service manager and the headlights were replaced! So anyone having the same issue with the 04 RX8's you might want to get yours fixed while its still under warranty.
Cheers!

OK so now I'm confused. I have an '05 and I do have an issue with the headlights. At first I thought they were just waterspots but after a a good cleaning I realized that it was on the inside. I thought it may be condensation but it never went away. It looks almost as if it's a defect in the plastic material. I may call MNAO to see what they can do.

Right now I'm contemplating seeing another dealer. The one I bought my 8 from has totally lost it in the service dept. So far I've been in for the break squeal three times and
they still refuse to fix it. Twice for the headlights(they said it'll go away with time) And last week went in for rough idle. Tech said they re-flashed it but when I got home it said nothing on the receipt. I called them and they said in fact "no" it hadn't been re-flashed. Anyway I need to find another service dept. Hope you had better luck.

Thanks. Funny thing is is that the guy I've always dealt with there is no longer with the dealership. He was a lot easier to deal with on a personal level but is now the service manager for the neighboring Nissan dealership. Anyway I've heard some good things about another Mazda dealer in Longwood Fl, not too far from Orlando. I think I'll try to get most of the things all done at the same time, most likely during the recall inspection. I've already got before pics,I'll try and post some after pics as well for comparision for anyone interested in seeing them.
