Could overflowing Coolant on the power steering harness cause other electrical issues
Have an 04 mazda 6spd had it for a couple years now and well its always had this issue where the coolant will overflow out the 3in tube right on to the power steering connectors(just found out that they were the powersteering ones).
What the car does is loses a bit of power once warmed up and the speakers will cut in and out and at the same time I hear the speakers cut out I hear a click from the navigation dvd thing in the back seat. Also the NAV just won't work at all and has fuzzy cute lines. And I have to replace the coils every year as they get worn out from the electrical sorted/surges
The only time the car will function all correctly is if the overflow stops overflowing and then the car has been running for awhile and fun just fine until I hit the brake and the you'll hear the speakers/nav/nav dvd all click cut out and do its thing then come back on
So my original guess was that the power steering connectors were other things that could be replaced and would fix all my issues but since they are for the power steering and that works fine I'm just unsure now.
I did just recently take them apart and clean them and well they had lots of water in the outside part of them but not in the actual inside
Also I rerouted the overflow tube 4ft elsewhere to drop underneath the car.
So to sum this all up in a nice quick question.
Is it possible for the power steering connectors to cause these issues and replace them or should I look elsewhere and if elsewhere where would I start?
Any insight or ideas would be very helpful
and p.s. I hope I posted this in the right place

'Electrical issues that affect multiple independant systems' is almost always diagnosed as a grounding problem. Poor grounds, loose ground, battery terminal corrosion, etc...
In your case, 'constant' overflowing could have cause coolant to get sprayed all over/in the alternator (think about where the fans are and what direction they are throwing coolant) and its starting to fail. Possibly not, but maybe.
To me, there is a more serious issue here than electrical. You make it sound like it overflows on every trip? Do you have a clogged radiator? A failing/stuck thermostat? A coolant bottle cap failure? Even a single overheating of the motor can mean terminal failure through housing warp.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure coolant is leaking into the motor since it'll just blow out most of the coolant. But I wanted to get the electrical issues of it fixed first before rebuilding the motor. It needs work for sure
But for the moment I've cleaned/sand papered all major grounds. Like the main ground coming right off the negative post of the battery. Repalced the battery and terminals. Had the alternator checked multiple times and it reads out like 14.9 or something close to that.
But I could tell that the fans yeah did blow water all over it and everything else.
But I have two questions.
One - should the navigation work while the car is off and the key is on?
Two - Coming off the power terminal the power cable thingy splits off into two I believe and one is a like a white plug. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about. That looks like it could be replaced. I'm never actually been able to get it undone. Any idea where this wire might route to?
