Cold weather start clutch noise
Cold weather start clutch noise
I'm fairly sure this was happening on my way out to work this morning (I just wasn't very attentive to it), but I recorded it as I left for home. Temperatures were in the mid 20s this morning, and around the mid 40s after work.
The video does a good job at conveying the noise; it's a high pitched screeching the moment I start depressing the clutch from free-play all the way down (happens both in neutral and in gear). The noise goes away after warming up; any idea what this could be?

Does anyone have any further information on this?
Mine has also started doing this whilst the car is cold.
Squeaking noise coming from outside car/underneath car/inside transmission when clutch is depressed. Engine on or off, until car is warmed up (10-15min of driving) then noise stops.
Very audible from outside car, and embarrassing!
Anyone have any ideas?
(its not the clutch pedal or spring inside the cabin, definitely sound is inside transmission/underneath car)
