Squeaky Belt

So I got my clutch, flywheel, and a bunch of other work recently done on my RX8. But now two problems have since occurred:

The belt that is visible upon opening the hood makes a continuous loud squeaking noise... Do I need a new belt or what can fix this?

Also my AC no longer works. It use to blow cold before I had major work done on the car.

It sounds like your AC / accessory belt wasn't reinstalled properly, and it's too loose. Tightening it up will remove the squeaking and actually apply power to the AC compressor, which won't work too well if it doesn't get power from the belt.

This is probably the reason why. Is there a guide for how to tighten the Accessory belt properly?

That explains no AC.

But not sure how the belt can squeak if it's not there

i assume it's the other belt that is squeaking You probably lost the AC belt and it damaged or loosened the other. The AC belt isn't critical, but the alternator/waterpump belt is critical, you could lose the engine. Get that taken care of

Getting a quote today from a local Rx7 shop.

Not entirely sure what the ballpark costs would be to change everything.

3 wrenches (if i recall correctly), $20 of belts from the auto parts store, and 10-15 minutes... really simple.

Hey guys, so I bought new belts and was going to install but then I found out that the middle pulley for the accessory belt has broken bearings.

What is this part called and where can I buy it?
