Secondary valve stuck open
Ok so I have an 06 rx8 automatic with 80,000+ Miles
I just found out my secondary shutter valve is stuck open, is there any quick fix to this because I leave in two days and need my car
Here are the codes I got when I hooked my car up as well
P2070 (imtv) stuck open
P0410 secondary air injection system

Seafoam is a snake oil (doesn't do much) but people still use it tho, use distilled water for a better clean, removes more carbon

SSV P2070 either the switch is bad or you have to take the ssv out and clean or replace it
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...y-time-250631/ (bad switch)

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...-video-184663/ (clean ssv here)
and your no power issue, check the cat, change the coils, get a comp test if it has a hot start issue
sorry if I'm coming off as being a dick, if you have any other questions feel free to pm me.

Brittney,
You basically have to remove it to clean it, and it's not something quick. But it seems like you probably have enough skill to remove it. See the DIY thread here: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...-video-184663/
Short of that, if you get halfway into the removal to where you have the UIM off, you can hose it down with MAF cleaner (safe on the LIM) to kinda clean it. Not as well as removing it entirely, but faster than removing it, and better than ignoring it.
