Clutch squeal when hot

I have a 2006 SE (Shinka) edition. The vehicle is two months old. Recently, as it started getting hotter, I am getting this squealing noise when pushing the clutch in. Any ideas?

Thanks.

It happens at any rps, but I think it is most noticable at lower rpm when I can listen better. Nothing is wrong with the clutch, it just started making noise when it gets hot outside. My first response was that I needed to lubricate something.

Everything is working as it should, just that it is making this squeaking noise when I depress it. In the service bulletin it refers to hot ambient temperature. That's about what we have in common.

I just had my car in for this about a month ago. They replaced a switch down at the clutch pedal. I forget what he called it and it doesn't say on my receipt. But, no more squeaky!

Well, looks like I will have to give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks, guys.

I'll call my dealer on monday and find out exactly what they replaced. That way you can tell the dealer what to look for in case they don't find anything.

Hmm. I have that too. I am going to have it looked at on Tuesday when I bring in my car. But my question is how on earth do you get a dealer to believe you and check it out if they can't repeat it (cause it only happens sometimes)?

Well, I was on vacation the last two weeks so haven't driven the car again. It seems that this affects more vehicles.

jskup1 or for that matter any people that had it fixed, what was the problem. I should reaffirm if this is still an issue this week and than time to take it in as the problem is rather annoying as it cheapens the clutch feel.

Bringing the car in tomorrow to have it fixed. It looks like this is a fairly common problem for the RX-8. It shouldn't be too hard to replicate, just leave your car in the sun for awhile until the interior gets nice and toasty and the clutch will squeak. I'm also planning to have them look at the marbles in a can thing with my engine. That might be a considerably harder sell.

Went it today to have the vehicle serviced today for the clutch and the visor that fell apart. They will have to get new ones in, both.

So, will replacing the clutch fix the problem or is there another issue? Does anyone know the part that is causing the squeal?

Thanks.
