Clutch Does Not Engage? Help
I'm having an interesting issue and wondering if anyone could chime in.
So normally when the car is sitting idle out of gear with the clutch pedal up you can hear the whirring sound (throw out bearing). When you depress the clutch pedal the whirring stops because the clutch is engaged. Well, whats going on with me... When I depress the clutch pedal it takes about 2-3 seconds for the whirring to stop. When driving around, I depress the clutch but I can feel that it doesn't engage, again taking about 2ish seconds to engage. Also when its taking the 2-3 seconds to engage, I can't take the car out of gear.
Any ideas on what it could be? My first though was air in the clutch line and bleeding would do the trick. Do you think there is a chance the clutch could be damaged etc? The car has 73,000 miles on the original clutch.

If you have not been too agressive on your clutch its very possible its your hydraulics like you said. You might luck out and that TSB could fix it, see the dealer.

Thanks guys. I am going to take it in tomorrow and have them do the TSB. I'll have no prob paying them the .7hrs of labor to fix this. Just don't want to have to spend my bonus I just got on a new clutch and extensive tranny work.
I have been doing track days but the clutch has been fine. Drove the car yesterday morning, no problems. Drove it last night, bang, clutch doesn't disengage.
