Anti Roll Bar links

Since ive owned my car ive always felt the car leaned a bit to much in the corners and with general handling. I always check over everything on my car! Its my hobby so i like to make sure everything is in tip top condition.

Ive checked the antiroll bar links for play before and they never appeared to have any! I was checking over the car on saturday and noticed that one of the anti roll links had sheared off from one end.

Got on the phone to mazda and they quoted me.. wait for it £55.00 for one! and £47.50 for the other. (the two front ones) The Left side was cheaper for some reason.
Extremely pissed off i looked on ebay, they were less than half the price but was doubtful of the quality. SO last straw i tried my motor parts company i usual use. Express Factors in worcester. They sourced them for £13 each! SOLD!

Fitted them yesterday, had to end up grinding the bastards off. Nuts were rusted solid and you cant get a spanner round the other end seen as its a ball joint.
Anyway, an hour or so later they were fitted. MAde the time to repaint the brake calipers whilst i had the wheel off.

WOW, the difference this makes in handling with some fresh anti roll links. The car is so much more poised and controlled round bends. Literally i was blown away the difference. Was so stunned, the old ones had no play but they were just so ****. I guess i should have known seen as the car itself has done 90,000 miles. Not the engine

So yeah, basically i recommend everyone have a go at this. Its easier enough, cheap enough and just makes the car feel like new again. Im so chuffed.

Going to do the rear ones next week!

Endlinks are often overlooked as maintenance items, glad you replaced them.
Now it's time to grease the sway bar bushings to let them move freely again!
