heh, autobahn, i may hit you up if i ever go back to taiwan, everytime i go back i cry cause i don't see my 8.
You are probably out of luck with the warranty though, completely a mazda USA thing. Is your car an auto or manual? Taiwanese driving also tends to result in short distance drive with no redlines, so maybe be more proactive with warming it up.
Check and see if you have any new flashes since you bought the car, you are suppose to.
I think the engine is just abused when it's not properly warmed, which causes the engine loss, cause most ppl 90% probably at least in the US have absolutely no problem.

So there's nothing I can do from Taiwan then? I tried emailing Mazda JPN been two months still no reply or call from anyone. Don't get it how can a car handle 9 or 10K rpm but motor fail all the time.....just doesn't seem right. I've always gone to the dealer to get my oil change ever 5KM and they even used Mazda's RX8 oil, which is a mineral 5W40.....made just for RX8 it "says".
and its not even new, it needs premix since the very beginning and most guys that know rotary well do it all the time.
and switch your mineral oil to Fully Ester Synthetic oil.

!!!
I just bought my 2004 Winning Blue Rx-8 1 year ago with 68k miles on it.
Premium fuel and synthetic oil changes, flash fwd 1 year and the engine is shot!
80,400 miles......
I started the car thursday evening and it appeared to have a heart attack (shuddered violently up front, oil light and check engine light flashed on, then it shut off)
Had it towed to service and after 2 days of trouble shooting they said I need a new engine, wtf I just bought it!
What do/should I do?
Get a new engine?
Get a rebuild kit and rebuild mine
Get a used engine (possible same problems i just had)
Scrap it and get a new car?
I owe 8200.00 on it....
Ahh welcome to the club, this just happened to me! It shuttered and wouldn't start, had to jump start it and eventually took it to Mazda dealership, now waiting to see if Mazda will replace engine.

xsnipersgox ....my car is an AT, in Taiwan they only sell AT. About the new flashes, since I got the new engine the dealer tells me I should use the original one since unless I have any problems with it the original one is preferred. What do you guys think?
You are right about short distant trips, most of my driving is less than 20KM a day, just driving in city to work, so I think maybe I should start warming up before driving. When you mean properly warmed does that mean in park until the RPM drops after start up?
redcopper06 yeah I'll give Ford Disti a Ring see if they can help me out.
But that Chirping sound from the engine when I hit gas? Do you guys know what the heck the problem is?
Any recommendations on the "premix" since the oils in Taiwan are different then the states mostly Japanese brands. What is a good "formula" for premix?

Your good. The MS intake is like it. Think of it like this; how can they voild your warranty when mazda put the name mazdaspeed on the intake and sold it for the RX-8.
