Whining from Fuel Pump after S2 Swap
Whining from Fuel Pump after S2 Swap
Did the S2 fuel pump swap and I'm getting a high-pitch whine from the pump area. I used a brand-new OEM pump. Assuming this is not normal. I clocked the pump to approximately 2:00 so the outlet pipe wasn't binding and everything is nice and snug. Before I take it apart, what should I be looking for to correct?
Just because its a new pump doesn't mean the pump itself is good sadly. I would remove the pump and apply power to it on the bench to see if the pump itself is loud with no strain. If its loud on the bench, I would warranty it out.
Great advice. I'll look into bench testing and try to pull it once the tank gets low again.
